Kings XI Punjab rejig home matches
The renovation of the Chandigarh airport has forced Kings XI Punjab to rejig their home matches between their two home bases Mohali and Indore.
Kings XI will now play their first three home matches in Mohali on April 15, 19 and 23. Indore, which the franchise picked as the second home venue, will host the other four home matches on May 4, 6, 12 and 14.
The franchise requested the IPL to swap the matches because the Chandigarh airport will be closed from May 12 to 31 for renovation. The IPL governing council approved the request when it met last week. "There were logistical difficulties that teams would have encountered had KXIP played their home games in Mohali in May," BCCI acting president CK Khanna told PTI.
